Description

You will own the design and development of AT/CVT transmission systems, including synchronizer pack design and calibrations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AT/CVT transmission systems, synchronizer packs, and relevant layouts.
• Perform analytical calculations for gears, shafts, shifting systems, and bearing selection.
• Conduct design reviews to assess transmission system architecture and component layouts.
• Execute the full product lifecycle from concept design to detailed design, including assembly and service manuals.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings and define tolerances to ensure proper form, fit, and function.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in transmission systems design.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 or UG NX CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, and DFA.
• Experience with Kisssoft and Romax for drivetrain optimization and simulation.
• Expertise in stack-up analysis, Bill of Materials (BoM), and Engineering Change Management.
• Functional understanding of heat treatment, gear cutting processes, and transmission casting design.
• Experience in sheet metal, pipe, and hose design.
• Ability to evaluate materials based on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PLM and Teamcenter.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
