Description

You will manage and maintain lab resources for the Systems and Maintenance Engineering Intelligent Edge Network Lab Governance Team in Richardson, TX.

Responsibilities

• Implement lab test bed setups based on requirements from IT, Planning, and Maintenance Engineering teams.
• Manage lab resource availability and scheduling to ensure readiness prior to testing or development.
• Triage test bed issues and engage or escalate with vendors as required.
• Perform hands-on equipment support including installation, fiber maintenance, and card add/pulls.
• Maintain lab inventories and ensure production-like availability of all resources.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications or network engineering.
• Proficiency with Cisco networking hardware and environments.
• Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF, and BFD protocols.
• Experience with Python, Perl, Javascript, or Shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with physical equipment installation and fiber maintenance.
• Ability to manage complex lab inventories and resource scheduling.

Preferred Skills

• Any graduate degree in a technical field.
