Description

You will provide specialized mental health nursing care during day shift assignments in Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to physician orders and monitor for side effects or effectiveness.
• Perform BLS, CPR, and emergency response protocols in clinical settings.
• Supervise subordinate staff, providing guidance on nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Manage patient care plans by evaluating progress and making necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and track accountable items including drugs and medical instruments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional nursing experience.
• Proficiency in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience in mental health monitoring and treating behavioral or affective disorders.
• Strong delegation and organizational skills.
• Ability to apply complex professional nursing techniques and medical treatments.
• Knowledge of human behavior, psychological research methods, and assessment techniques.
• Competency in conflict management and decision quality.
