Description

Define and implement the micro frontend architecture for FIOS Suite modernization, driving incremental migration of legacy UIs while establishing governance and standards.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define the overall micro frontend architecture, including routing, shell/container design, and inter-module communication strategies.
• Architect build and deployment pipelines to enable independent development, testing, and release for micro frontend teams.
• Establish standards for UI consistency, theming, branding, and shared authentication across distributed frontend modules.
• Drive optimization for performance, scalability, and security, ensuring fast load times and compliance with accessibility standards.
• Mentor UI/UX and frontend teams while documenting architecture patterns, coding standards, and migration guidelines.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of deep experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React, Angular, or Vue.
• Strong understanding of micro frontend patterns, including Module Federation and Web Components.
• Proven expertise in Material UI implementation and design systems.
• Experience with legacy UI migration, integration strategies, and shared UI libraries.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns.
• Ability to define contracts for inter-micro frontend communication and ensure backward compatibility.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices, including versioning, rollback, and hot-reload capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mobile/responsive design and cross-browser compatibility planning.
• Background in enforcing secure coding practices (XSS, CSRF, CORS) in distributed UI systems.
