Description

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain web applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in APIs
• Write and execute unit and integration tests
• Perform code reviews and ensure code quality
• Provide technical documentation for APIs
• Coordinate with release engineers to deploy new features and bug fixes into higher environments
• Maintain working knowledge of technical enhancements and new functionality
• Learn, adapt, test, evaluate, and implement new technologies
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and automation platforms to improve software design, code quality, testing, documentation, and delivery efficiency
• Participate in team activities including sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives
• Communicate effectively with peers and leads

Qualifications

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience developing web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing microservices using Python or Node.js
  • Strong technical skills in JavaScript UI/UX frameworks, particularly React
  • Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript
  • Strong knowledge of design patterns
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience with REST-based or GraphQL APIs from single page applications
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization aspects for APIs
  • Working knowledge of Docker
  • Understanding of CI/CD integration
  • Knowledge of package managers (npm, pip)
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written communication
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent teamwork skills
• Preferred
  • Experience with Swagger/Open API 3
  • Formal cloud-based training or industry-accredited cloud certification
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
