Description

You will drive the implementation of accessible client-facing digital interfaces as a hands-on accessibility expert.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support front-end design and development teams to improve interface accessibility.
• Train and coach developers, testers, UX designers, and content strategists on accessibility best practices.
• Provide technical guidance on building user interfaces that comply with accessibility guidelines.
• Track and monitor accessibility issues from discovery through remediation.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years specifically in accessibility.
• Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.1 (Level A and AA) standards.
• Proficiency in HTML (4 and 5), ARIA, CSS (2 and 3), JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience building and testing Single Page Applications (SPAs).
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and architecture standards.
• Ability to communicate technical system issues to diverse audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and ZoomText.
• Development experience with Angular or React frameworks.
