Description

Design and enhance the checkout experience for Kroger’s NGPOS project across multiple store formats.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research with cashiers, shoppers, and store associates to identify needs and pain points.
• Lead collaborative workshops with cross-functional teams to address experience and technical challenges.
• Create and maintain UX artifacts including personas, user journeys, and service blueprints for the POS ecosystem.
• Provide design guidance to development teams and ensure alignment with the UX vision during agile ceremonies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in UX design, user research, and workshop facilitation.
• Strong proficiency in Figma.
• Familiarity with AI tools for design workflows.
• Ability to work onsite near Blue Ash, OH, with willingness to visit retail stores for observation.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, product management, and retail operations teams.
• Comfortable supporting projects involving data-driven decision making and emerging AI technologies.
