Description

Build and maintain a scalable design system and reusable component library for enterprise web applications and the River AI Chatbot.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level wrapper components using HTML, SASS, and Angular to ensure consistency and accessibility.
• Ensure all UI patterns meet WCAG 2.1/AAA standards through semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and accessibility testing.
• Use Storybook for component development, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Partner with developers to drive adherence to accessibility and UX standards in major state systems.
• Participate in code reviews, accessibility audits, and UX discussions to ensure front-end asset quality.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• Proficiency in HTML, SASS, and Angular.
• Strong expertise in WCAG 2.1/AAA standards, ARIA roles, and semantic HTML.
• Proven ability to set up and integrate enterprise design systems.
• Experience with USWDS or similar enterprise-level design systems.
• Experience using Storybook for component documentation and collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with .NET, MVC, and SQL for backend integration support.
