Description

You will lead the visual design and usability of the product throughout its lifecycle.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, and QA to clarify requirements, functionality, and scalability.
• Examine current user flows and processes to identify pain points and deliver viable solutions.
• Create sketches, wireframes, and mockups that adhere to SOM Look & Feel Standards and ADA requirements.
• Conduct and facilitate usability and accessibility testing with intended users, iterating designs based on feedback.
• Advise the development team on UI/UX best practices, coding standards, and ADA vulnerability remediation.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of UI/UX design experience.
• 2+ years using wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, or equivalent).
• 2-3+ years experience with design systems and reusable components.
• 2+ years leading user workshops and facilitating design sessions.
• 1+ years familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices (ADA).
• Experience with quantitative, results-driven design techniques such as A/B testing.
• Experience with information architecture.
• Working knowledge of CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS).
• Working knowledge of Java/.net.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of total working experience.
