Description

You will design and develop user interfaces for a Java-based web application across the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design interface solutions covering look, feel, and behavior to ensure ease of use.
• Create interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and a reusable UI toolbox.
• Develop functional prototypes to demonstrate concepts and support iterative usability reviews.
• Produce standards-compliant front-end code and establish UI standards across the application.
• Collaborate with software architects and developers to translate prototypes into web-based solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design and development.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with AJAX and Java.
• Experience with browser-based UI frameworks such as jQuery, YUI, or Ext JS.
• Ability to translate high-level user requirements into functional design solutions.
• Knowledge of fundamental visual and interactive design principles.
• Understanding of web accessibility guidelines and Section 508 compliance.
• Ability to present complex data sets in easy-to-comprehend formats.
