Description

You will manage the planning, installation, configuration, and ongoing support of the Unix server environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Unix-based physical and virtual servers.
• Manage patching and monitoring for Unix-based environments.
• Support application software stacks running on Unix servers.
• Develop shell scripts for automation and monitoring tasks.
• Collaborate with application developers to investigate and resolve technical issues.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience as a Unix & Linux Administrator.
• Strong scripting experience with PowerShell, Unix, and Linux.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting.
• Experience with Linux and Unix environments.
• Technical ability to self-manage projects and issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• RHCE certification.
• Experience supporting Apache with Tomcat applications.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as WebSphere MQ or ActiveMQ.
