Description

Manage Sun Solaris infrastructure and large-scale complex Unix environments. Administer Sun Fire series, M3000, M4000, M5000, T5120, T5220, T5240, T5440, V240, V280, and V490 hardware. Configure and maintain disk arrays, tape libraries, virtual tape libraries, and terminal servers.

Responsibilities

• Manage Solaris Disk Suite, Solaris Volume Manager, and ZFS storage solutions.
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity within EMC storage array-based SAN environments.
• Troubleshoot Solaris networking services including TCP/IP, NIS, DNS, NFS, LDAP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, and HTTP.
• Administer high availability techniques using Veritas Cluster Server and Veritas Storage Foundation.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of experience in Unix Sun Solaris systems administration.
• Expertise in Veritas Cluster Server and Veritas Storage Foundation.
• Experience with Veritas NetBackup and high availability techniques.
• Proficiency with Sun LDAP or Oracle Directory Services LDAP.
• Experience with Sun SMC and Quest monitoring tools.
• Hands-on experience with large scale complex Unix environments.
• Any graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Shell scripting or Perl scripting experience.
• System level support for Oracle application and database servers.
• Experience with Java application servers, WebSphere, or other large-scale databases.
