Description

You will operate as a data protection administrator supporting a large application environment primarily running Unix, Windows, and ESX servers.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Veritas Netbackup, including client cluster configuration, SLP, OpenStorage, and Vault.
• Install and troubleshoot TSM Clients on Unix and Windows, managing agents for Oracle, RMAN, and MSSQL.
• Manage disk and tape hardware, specifically EMC Data Domain and IBM Tape Library.
• Collaborate with Unix/Windows administrators to resolve backup and restore issues.
• Handle service requests via ServiceNow for restores and schedule changes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years experience in system administration roles.
• Expertise with Spectrum Protect (TSM) and Veritas Netbackup.
• Proficiency in Unix and Windows server administration.
• Experience managing DDBoost and interacting with EMC Data Domain.
• Working knowledge of Python and Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with SAN and NAS technologies, including Netapp Snapvault/Snapmirror.
• Experience supporting environments involving ESX Servers.
