Description

You will manage Linux support for approximately 300 servers, ensuring system maintenance, security compliance, and automation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform system maintenance, OS patching, and remediation of Secunia OS vulnerabilities following security audits.
• Conduct quarterly patching of RedHat systems to meet strict PCI security requirements.
• Maintain compliance through OS/hardware upgrades, 3rd party software upgrades, and system standardization.
• Address incident tickets and resolve them promptly, collaborating with IT and business clients.
• Develop and manage Ansible playbooks and the Ansible Automation Platform.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in systems administration.
• Proficiency in RHEL Linux 8/9 administration and patch management.
• Experience with Linux server builds and custom configurations.
• Strong performance tuning skills, particularly for Oracle database servers.
• Expertise in server security vulnerability management and SolarWinds monitoring.
• Solid knowledge of automation and server migrations.
• Hands-on experience in Ansible playbook development, Ansible Automation Platform management, Satellite 6 upgrades, and VMware operations.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills and strong skills in TCP/IP networking, network topology, and firewalled environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SolarWinds monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of Oracle database server performance tuning.
