Description

You will manage and maintain Unix/Linux environments to ensure system stability and security.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot system problems and suggest enhancements to improve performance.
• Write system scripts to automate daily administration and repeatable tasks.
• Evaluate and install patches while resolving software and hardware issues.
• Perform system backups, recovery, and monitor configurations to ensure data integrity.
• Secure and harden infrastructure technologies and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong Unix/Linux fundamentals and Command Line Interface (CLI) proficiency.
• Experience with Linux, system security, and account management.
• Proficiency in writing shell scripts and Perl programming.
• Strong networking skills and client-server experience.
• Methodical approach to analyzing problems and identifying solutions.
• Ability to explain and demonstrate technical concepts clearly.
• 5+ years of experience working with multiple operating systems.
• Experience with system installation, maintenance, and upgrades.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
