Description

You will manage and maintain Unix/Linux environments to ensure system stability, security, and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot system problems and implement enhancements to improve overall performance.
• Write shell scripts and Perl programs to automate daily administration and repeatable tasks.
• Evaluate, install, and resolve software and hardware patches and issues.
• Perform system backups, recovery operations, and monitor configurations to ensure data integrity.
• Secure and harden infrastructure technologies while maintaining accurate technical documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong Unix/Linux fundamentals with advanced Command Line Interface (CLI) proficiency.
• 5+ years of experience working with multiple operating systems, including Linux and Windows.
• Experience with system installation, maintenance, upgrades, and account management.
• Proficiency in writing shell scripts and Perl programming.
• Strong networking skills with client-server experience.
• Ability to methodically analyze problems, identify root causes, and demonstrate technical solutions clearly.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
