Description

You ensure usability and accessibility compliance for developed systems while designing user interfaces for upcoming projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate applications for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, develop mitigation plans, and remediate identified issues.
• Design and develop user interfaces, including responsive designs optimized for mobile and tablet usage.
• Collaborate with analysts to create prototypes and gather focus group feedback.
• Prepare recommendations for modernizing legacy .NET webforms applications into MVC or contemporary frameworks.
• Assist development teams during upgrades by testing changes, documenting results in Azure DevOps, and preparing release notes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing complex applications in an object-oriented environment.
• 5+ years of experience with Visual Basic, C#, XML, CSS, and HTML.
• 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server or comparable relational databases.
• Demonstrated experience using accessibility compliance tools such as Axe, JAWS, or NVDA.
• Experience testing changes and documenting results using Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Ability to develop test plans for user acceptance testing.
• Experience with source code management, workflow diagramming, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with UI/UX tools and frameworks including Figma, Adobe XD, or Bootstrap.
• 3+ years of experience with accessibility testing tools, methodologies, and issue tracking tools.
• Familiarity with Telerik .NET UI controls, W3C’s ATAG, and UAAG.
