Description

You will lead user research efforts to define and drive the design of state services and applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead primary and secondary research by facilitating workshops, interviews, focus groups, and usability testing.
• Plan and implement research strategies, methodologies, and ethnographic studies.
• Organize and evaluate qualitative and quantitative research data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research topics and evaluate approaches.
• Present research findings and recommendations to program owners and business stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of UX research experience.
• Strong understanding of UI Design.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or equivalent prototyping tools.
• Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user personas, and user journey maps.
• Skill in empathy mapping development and facilitating user workshops.
• Ability to plan, conduct, and iterate on usability testing.
• Experience using remote testing tools and generating insights from data.
• Capability to formulate specific, practical research questions.
• Experience creating formal presentations and user finding reports for executive sponsors.

Preferred Skills

• Experience acting as a strategic partner to stakeholders in decision-making processes.
