You will drive the design of state services and applications by uncovering user needs through rigorous research and usability studies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead primary and secondary research by facilitating workshops, interviews, focus groups, and usability testing.
• Plan and implement research strategies, methodologies, and ethnographic studies.
• Organize and evaluate qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights.
• Present research findings and recommendations to program owners, executive sponsors, and business stakeholders.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify research topics and propose solutions to complex business problems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of UX research experience.
• Strong understanding of UI Design.
• Proficiency in creating wireframes and prototypes using Figma, Sketch, or equivalent tools.
• Experience developing user personas, user journey maps, and empathy maps.
• Expertise in planning, conducting, and iterating on usability testing.
• Ability to formulate specific, answerable, and practical research questions.
• Skill in using remote testing tools and diverse UX research toolsets.
• Experience generating formal presentations and user finding reports.

Preferred Skills

• Proven ability to gather and analyze data to drive strategic decisions.
