Description

You will manage the development and maintenance of utility network models, focusing on electrical distribution, transmission, and substation components.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CIM-compliant models for transmission, distribution, and substation equipment.
• Conduct network planning studies and simulations to evaluate project feasibility, load growth, and renewable energy integration.
• Forecast future network requirements and develop optimization models for efficient network configurations.
• Perform data validation and consistency checks to ensure CIM model accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CIM models with existing utility systems and applications.

Required Skills

• 3 to 5 years of experience in utility network modeling, planning, simulation, and CIM standards.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software such as CYME, Siemens ODMDS, PSS/E, ETAP, or PowerFactory.
• Strong understanding of CIM concepts, data structures, and XML-based modeling.
• Expertise in CIM modeling tools and languages, including CIMtools and IEC61970.
• Deep knowledge of electrical power systems, including transmission, distribution, and substation equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ArcGIS and programming in Python or MATLAB.
• Knowledge of distributed energy resources (DER) integration and data analytics tools.
• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
