Description

Drive user-centered design processes to create intuitive browser-based interfaces and document complex user requirements.

Responsibilities

• Elicit business goals and user needs through stakeholder engagement and customer discovery sessions.
• Develop conceptual models, journey maps, personas, and scenarios of use.
• Design and refine screen prototypes and browser-based interfaces.
• Conduct formative usability testing in both formal and informal settings.
• Document user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of direct interaction and interface design experience using user-centered methods and user analysis.
• 6+ years of experience documenting user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.
• 4+ years of experience designing and conducting formative usability tests.
• 4+ years of experience preparing and presenting findings to small and large groups.
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design (UCD) principles.
• Proven ability to communicate technical topics and interface with customers daily.
• Must provide a digital portfolio of design work.
• Must reside within two hours of Woodlawn, MD, and work on-site at least 2 days a week.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Axure RP or Adobe XD prototyping software.
• Experience with Pega or ServiceNow platforms.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
