Description

Design and configure Varicent software solutions to calculate sales commissions accurately and scalably.

Responsibilities

• Translate compensation business requirements into technical specifications for incentive plan implementation.
• Analyze commission models and design Varicent calculation logic to meet business needs.
• Support solution design by analyzing upstream data requirements and downstream system impacts.
• Perform testing of new compensation plans and system enhancements to ensure functionality and accuracy.
• Maintain technical documentation and track progress using tools like Octane and Wiki pages.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience working with compensation management software, specifically Varicent.
• Proven experience as a compensation analyst or in a similar role within medium to large organizations.
• Familiarity with sales compensation concepts: quota setting, performance measurement, and payout calculations.
• Knowledge of incentive compensation plan design and administration best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, SAS, Python, and Scala for BI programming and data analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Strong background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a telecommunications environment.
• Exposure to managing external vendor relationships and service level agreements.
