Description

Perform vascular ultrasound examinations for inpatient and outpatient populations. Own the technical execution of imaging studies and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Generate high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures.
• Acquire, transfer, and communicate preliminary findings to the clinical team.
• Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including assessment and emergency cardiac care.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and ensure daily quality assurance monitoring.
• Prepare procedure rooms, manage data entry for charge capture, and handle report storage.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in vascular ultrasound.
• ARDMS registration or CCI certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to perform patient assessments and emergency cardiac care.
• Proficiency in ultrasound image acquisition and data management.
• Competence in equipment calibration and troubleshooting.
• Associate’s degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
• Must become registry eligible and registered within one year of hire.
