Description

Key Responsibilities
•       Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using VB.NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework.
•       Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
•       Develop and optimize database objects such as stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers in SQL Server.
•       Perform application enhancements, bug fixes, and performance tuning.
•       Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
•       Integrate applications with internal and external systems through APIs and web services.
•       Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.
•       Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents and user guides.
•       Support application deployments and releases across different environments.
•       Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, QA teams, and Project Managers.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
•       Strong hands-on experience in VB.NET development.
•       Good knowledge of ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and .NET Framework.
•       Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL programming.
•       Knowledge of Web Services, REST APIs, and system integrations.
•       Experience with source control tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, or TFS.
•       Understanding of application debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
•       Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.
Soft Skills
•       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•       Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
•       Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
•       Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills.
Preferred Skills
•       Experience with C# and migration of legacy VB applications.
•       Exposure to Cloud Platforms (Azure preferred).
•       Knowledge of Windows Services, IIS, and deployment automation.
•       Experience in BFSI, Insurance, or Financial Services domain applications.
Experience
•       6 to 8 years of experience in VB.NET application development and support.
•       Experience in enterprise application maintenance, enhancements, and production support.
Nice to Have
•       Experience with modernization or migration projects involving legacy VB.NET applications.
•       Understanding of reporting tools such as SSRS or Crystal Reports
