Description

You will take accountability for the VDH Data Modernization Initiative (DMI) plan and its alignment with CDC initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the maintenance, execution, and implementation of the DMIs plan.
• Facilitate regular meetings with the DMIs Advisory Council, including drafting agendas and minutes.
• Set work priorities and develop action trackers to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Communicate plan progress to internal and external stakeholders via webinars, progress updates, and internal websites.
• Inform budgeting and financial management decisions to ensure informatics initiatives are sufficiently resourced.
• Conduct research to assess the impact of data modernization activities and support agency-wide data governance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Public Health Informatics.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Management.
• 2+ years of experience leading Data Modernization Projects.
• Experience in consultant roles.
• Ability to attend onsite interviews and pick up equipment in Richmond, VA.
• Knowledge of CDC Public Health Data Strategy.
