Description

Research, plan, and install enterprise networking and software solutions to support life safety systems and Transportation Operations Center objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing network and software solutions, providing recommendations based on product specifications and cybersecurity best practices.
• Configure equipment and software, document solutions for ongoing support, and train others on new implementations.
• Design network extensions, manage connections to the campus network, and assist with the deployment of new hardware.
• Monitor network resources for faults and traffic anomalies while resolving connection issues between users and resources.
• Maintain up-to-date architecture documentation, inventory records, and detailed change histories.

Required Skills

• 10 years of experience in General Information Technology.
• 10 years of experience with Cisco Routing and Switching.
• 5 years of experience in VLAN Management and Subnetting.
• 5 years of experience with Routing Protocols including BGP and OSPF.
• 5 years of experience in Firewall Administration.
• 4 years of experience with Authentication protocols such as Radius and TACACS.
• 3 years of experience in Integration Troubleshooting.
• 2 years of experience in Network Design.
• 2 years of experience in VPN and Remote Access Technologies, DNS, and DHCP.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Network Security and Cybersecurity.
• Experience with Network Monitoring, Network Cable Management, and FMC/Firepower.
• Experience with Solutions Design/Build and Software Integrations.
