Description

Manage and deliver complex IT infrastructure projects through all phases of the Commonwealth Standard for Project Management, from PreSelect to Closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical project execution by coordinating with development staff, business groups, and ITD management.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and tasks while communicating progress through defined metrics.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors, including contract management and procurement office coordination.
• Facilitate design workshops, document requirements and use cases, and define test objectives and plans.
• Oversee the delivery of network infrastructure, cloud solutions, and scalable technical architectures.

Required Skills

• PMP certification through PMI or VITAs PM certification (no other certifications qualify).
• Minimum 5 years of project experience in IT infrastructure delivery.
• Hands-on experience with network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and fiber optics.
• Experience with modern fabric-based networks, including Network Fabric, underlay, overlay, and SD WAN.
• Proven track record managing large, multi-stream projects and cloud implementations.
• Experience reviewing carrier bid feedback and presenting circuit recommendations to management.
• Knowledge of telecommunications, network standards, and practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Agile Scrum Master certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Project Server and Visio.
