Description

You will manage the provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and infrastructure for the Transportation Operations Center in Staunton, VA.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure and deploy Linux (Red Hat) and Windows servers, desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Monitor system resources, server anomalies, and application logs to ensure integrity and availability.
• Perform daily backup operations, file archival, OS patching, and upgrades.
• Resolve Tier 1 through Tier 3 support requests, including break/fix tasks and connection issues.
• Maintain project documentation, architecture diagrams, inventory records, and change histories.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Windows and Linux (Red Hat) server administration.
• 5+ years of experience with Desktop, Laptop, and Server hardware.
• 5+ years of experience with Active Directory Administration.
• 5+ years of experience with Virtualization/VMware.
• 5+ years of experience with Backup and Recovery operations.
• 5+ years of experience in Help Desk support and Customer Service.
• Proficiency with SQL databases.
• Ability to participate in a rotating on-call support schedule.

Preferred Skills

• 3 years of experience with Video Management Systems.
• 2 years of experience with Audio-Video support.
• Microsoft or related technical certifications.
