Description

You serve as the primary local contact between WIC participants and authorized retail stores, ensuring compliance and resolving shopping difficulties.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Educate WIC participants on approved foods using the Approved Food Guide and mobile app.
• Conduct onsite monitoring visits and education buys to ensure compliance with WIC requirements.
• Address shopping difficulties by working directly with both participants and store staff.
• Assist the central office with semi-annual price list processing and regional training sessions.
• Document and report serious store compliance issues to the central office.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working with WIC programs or similar nutrition assistance initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of retail services and operations within the food industry.
• Experience in retail environments to effectively monitor store compliance.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to multiple store locations.
• Strong literacy and language skills to support diverse populations.
• Ability to perform onsite store inspections and compliance checks independently.
• Graduate degree or High School Diploma.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in regional training sessions or educational outreach.
