Description

You will manage day-to-day support for computer systems and virtual servers across homogenous and heterogeneous environments. You will monitor system performance and event logs to ensure normal operations and tactical performance.

Responsibilities

• Execute hardware and software installations, configurations, and approved server changes.
• Perform root cause analysis and problem diagnosis to identify resolutions or escalate to tier 3.
• Apply security patches and implement work-arounds for known issues.
• Plan, scale, and lead server automation projects using DevOps and legacy tools.
• Document change implementation plans and mentor other analysts through the execution process.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems or virtualization support.
• Expertise in VMware.
• Configuration management with Puppet or Chef.
• Automation scripting using PowerShell, Ruby, or Python.
• Scripting experience with Unix Shell or Perl.
• Experience with incident, change, and problem management processes.
• Ability to develop and maintain detailed technical project documentation.
• Capability to manage service performance, capacity, and infrastructure upgrades.
