Description

You will manage and enhance the virtualization and server infrastructure, ensuring stability and automation of core systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, patch, and maintain virtual server systems, including backup and restore operations.
• Monitor, report on, and automate the VMware vSphere 7.0 environment and Cisco UCS infrastructure.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate processes and build self-help tools to reduce support workload.
• Define disaster recovery plans and establish operational procedures and documentation.
• Collaborate with Platform, Network, and Storage teams on cross-platform interoperability tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years managing the VMware vSphere platform and underlying server technologies.
• 6+ years in IT operations.
• 4+ years scripting in PowerShell/PowerCLI.
• Experience with core protocols: TCP/IP, SSH, SMTP, LDAP, DNS.
• Experience provisioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting storage devices (FC, iSCSI, NFS).
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting n-tier applications using a least privilege model.
• Knowledge of networking concepts: VLANs, Firewall, ACLs, Load-balancer.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cisco UCS blade server architecture.
• Experience using monitoring tools, such as VMware vRops.
