Description

You manage and administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments for enterprise-scale private cloud infrastructure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Handle host builds, cluster management, and resource optimization including vMotion, Storage vMotion, HA, and DRS configurations.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and system health across compute, storage, and networking layers.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle of the VMware infrastructure.
• Support disaster recovery using SRM, replication, and backups.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on VMware administration experience (not VDI/Desktop).
• Expertise in vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter (versions 6.x, 7.x, 8.x).
• Strong experience with Private Cloud and Data Center environments.
• Proficiency in cluster management, High Availability (HA), and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS).
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage and virtualization networking.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise infrastructure issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VMware NSX, vRealize Automation, or PowerCLI scripting.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
