Description

Design and implement network security solutions using VMware NSX across VM, Kubernetes, and bare metal workloads.

Responsibilities

• Document and execute migration strategies to evolve distributed data centers into converged environments.
• Deploy and manage VMware NSX networking and security components, focusing on NSX Distributed Firewall solutions.
• Develop load balancing strategies to optimize system performance, availability, and resilience.
• Leverage API integrations to automate processes and streamline interactions between NSX and traditional vendor solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to establish best practices for VMware NSX usage and security policies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in networking and cybersecurity domains.
• Extensive hands-on experience with VMware NSX networking and security solutions.
• Deep expertise in NSX Distributed Firewall deployments.
• Hands-on experience with Arista, Cisco, or Juniper network platforms.
• Proven experience managing firewall migration projects.
• Proficiency in API integration, load balancing, and visibility integration.
• Experience using Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• VMware certifications such as VCP-NV or VCIX-NV.
• Experience with cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
