Description

Design and implement networking and security solutions using the VMware NSX product suite for complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Document and implement migration options to evolve distributed data center environments toward converged environments across VM, k8s, and bare metal workloads.
• Deploy VMware NSX networking and security components, specifically focusing on Distributed Firewall solutions.
• Develop and implement load balancing strategies to optimize system performance, availability, and resilience.
• Automate processes by leveraging API integrations across NSX and traditional vendor solutions.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and implement appropriate countermeasures and security policies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in networking and security domains.
• Extensive expertise with VMware NSX product suite and NSX Distributed Firewall.
• Hands-on experience with Arista, Cisco, and Juniper network platforms.
• Proven experience in firewall migration projects.
• Proficiency in API integration, load balancing, and visibility integration.
• Experience with Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• VMware certifications such as VCP-NV or VCIX-NV.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
