Description

You will manage virtualization infrastructure and container orchestration environments through automation and hands-on administration.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure, including vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter Server.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters to support containerized applications.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate administrative tasks, monitor system performance, and manage configurations.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for VMware and OpenShift environments.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in VMware administration, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.
• Extensive experience managing and deploying Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and system management.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Bachelor's degree or any graduate degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift.
