Description

You will manage and optimize a large-scale VMware virtualization environment within the banking and finance domain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and capacity of the VMware environment through proactive planning and resource utilization.
• Implement ESX standards for patch management, operational alerting, and capacity management.
• Provide 24x7x365 incident resolution and coordinate support with Broadcom.
• Configure monitoring thresholds, alarms, and automated reporting metrics.
• Create technical documentation including logical, physical, and data flow diagrams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure management.
• Extensive hands-on VMware virtualization experience, specifically ESX and Hyperconverged Infrastructure.
• Experience with NSX Distributed Firewalls and VDI concepts.
• Proficiency in Windows PowerShell scripting for automation and process improvement.
• Hands-on experience with Windows OS (Win7, Win10, Win2K8, Win2K12, Win2K16).
• Solid understanding of networking, storage, and server design principles.
• Experience managing Zero or thin client devices such as Dell or HP.
• Ability to work within the Banking or Finance domain.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with public cloud migrations to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Office 365.
• F5 general knowledge.
• VMware VCP Certification or HCoA experience.
