Description

You will manage and administer the complete VMware hypervisor technology stack, ensuring stability and compliance across enterprise environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full VMware hypervisor stack, including vCenter 8 installations, maintenance, and version upgrades.
• Execute virtual machine migrations using vMotion and storage vMotion with minimal operational disruption.
• Maintain and troubleshoot VMware NSX environments and vSAN configurations, including ESA and OSA architectures.
• Perform compute, network, and firmware updates across multiple environments to ensure stability.
• Coordinate infrastructure projects and manage change control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a VMware Hypervisor Consultant or similar role.
• Deep expertise in VMware technologies, specifically vSphere and vSAN.
• Mandatory proficiency in managing and troubleshooting VMware NSX environments.
• Hands-on experience with vMotion, storage vMotion, and vSAN operations.
• Practical knowledge of both vSAN ESA (Express Storage Architecture) and OSA (Original Storage Architecture).
• Experience managing and upgrading vCenter 8 environments.
• Proven ability to apply host updates within enterprise-level infrastructure.
• Competency with Hyper-V and general hypervisor technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience providing support, diagnostics, and firmware upgrades for Client and Cisco UCS hardware.
