Description

You will lead technical teams in executing VMware deployment, upgrade, and patching projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical specialists during VMware VCF upgrade, migration, and patching engagements.
• Develop VCF upgrade strategies, migration designs, and backup plans to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
• Own project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and shift rosters for multiple concurrent projects.
• Act as the primary client contact, managing expectations, technical deliverables, and status reporting.
• Manage risks, implement backout failover planning, and oversee project closure procedures with quality controls.

Required Skills

• 12-15 years of experience managing and delivering IT infrastructure projects.
• 5 years of project management experience within infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud domains.
• PMP certification.
• Hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Proficiency with ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
• Working knowledge of data center concepts, including servers, storage, and networking.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills for virtualization and operating system layers.
• Ability to work night shifts (9:30 pm to 6:30 am).
• Any graduate degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing and deploying VMware environments.
• Linux proficiency.
