Description

Lead technical teams in executing VMware deployment, upgrade, and patching projects.

You will own project plans, schedules, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical specialists during VMware VCF upgrades, migrations, and patching.
• Develop upgrade strategies, migration designs, and backup plans for high availability.
• Manage client expectations, technical deliverables, and status reporting.
• Oversee risk management, backout planning, and project closure quality controls.
• Coordinate shift rosters for night shift operations (9:30 pm to 6:30 am).

Required Skills

• 12-15 years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects.
• 5+ years of project management experience in infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud.
• Hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• PMP certification required.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
• Knowledge of data center concepts (servers, storage, networking).
• Strong analytical and debugging skills for virtualization and OS layers.
• Any graduate degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing and deploying VMware environments.
• Linux proficiency.
