Description

You will lead a technical team managing day-to-day operations, complex IT architecture, and large-scale VM environment deployment in Millsboro, DE.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere and vCenter to maintain virtualized architecture.
• Lead resolution of issues involving VMware, storage, blade infrastructure, and system backups.
• Develop and deploy customized VMware solutions, including distributed switches.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security to implement security solutions and baselines within the VMware infrastructure.
• Manage team performance, professional development, hiring, and 24x7x365 on-call rotations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in design and configuration of VM environments.
• 3+ years of experience managing a VM team.
• 3+ years of experience working with NAS/SAN storage.
• Proficiency with vCenter, IaaS, and MultiPath.
• Deep understanding of storage protocols: Fibre Channel, iSCSI, MPIO, SAN, and FCoE.
• Experience with NetApp, Pure Storage, and file/block protocols.
• Knowledge of Cisco UCS and ESXi host diagnostics.
• Experience with Barracuda and Kemp Load Balancers.
• Familiarity with vCenter Cloud Automation Center and vCenter Site Recovery Manager.
• Understanding of encryption, key management, certificate signing, and user authentication.
• Experience with backup technologies such as Veritas.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
