Description

You will manage and optimize VxRail environments as an onsite specialist in Chicago, IL.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day VxRail operational tasks and general VMware infrastructure management.
• Manage lifecycle operations including version upgrades, code updates, maintenance, and firmware updates.
• Handle standard VM management, licensing, permissions, and vSphere networking.
• Lead Dell support ticket resolution and collaborate with support teams to resolve issues.
• Conduct knowledge transfer to bridge skill gaps within the customer and partner teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in VMware infrastructure environments.
• Expertise in VxRail administration.
• Proficiency with VMware vSphere and hands-on experience with vCenter.
• Direct experience with vSAN administration.
• Ability to work onsite in Chicago, IL for the duration of the assignment.
• Strong ability to work self-directed with minimal oversight.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Hyper-V environments and VMware to Hyper-V migrations.
• Experience with RecoverPoint for VMs.
