Description

You will own the L3/L4 support lifecycle for enterprise VMware virtualization environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and optimize VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter Server and ESXi hosts.
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure performance issues and conduct capacity planning.
• Implement security best practices, conduct system audits, and manage vulnerability assessments.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and manage regular backups and replication for virtual machines.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations and provide knowledge transfer to junior staff.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience managing and supporting VMware environments.
• In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and vSAN.
• Extensive experience with VMware NSX from a networking background.
• Proficiency with VMware 5.x and above.
• Working knowledge of vRealize technologies, including Automation, Operations, Orchestrator, Life Cycle Manager, Log Insights, and SRM.
• Ability to script and automate using PowerCLI, Python, or Bash.
• Understanding of network and storage concepts as they relate to VMware infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or VCDX.
