Description

You will lead the design, development, and integration of complex virtualization solutions and platforms. You own the full lifecycle from architecture to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and document complex software solutions and architectures for multi-platform environments.
• Build automation tools to streamline the deployment of complex systems and mitigate failure risks.
• Lead project teams and development partners through coding, testing, and integration stages.
• Review designs and project activities to ensure compliance with development standards.
• Mentor less experienced staff and provide domain-specific expertise to cross-organizational programs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of applicable work experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with the VMware software stack.
• Extensive experience with software systems design tools and languages.
• Proven ability to design and integrate software systems running on multiple platform types.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Experience with enterprise storage and networking infrastructure.
• Experience developing tools to automate deployment of complex solutions.
• Ability to write and execute test plans, debugging processes, and testing scripts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate design proposals at senior management levels.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VMware NSX-V, NSX-T, or SmartNIC technology.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines or delivering SaaS-based software.
