Description

Manage system platforms, including builds, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for mission-critical financial applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage virtual machines using VMware, configuring memory and process allocation.
• Execute OS upgrades, hardware patches, and firmware updates for existing servers.
• Troubleshoot and secure Linux environments, specifically CentOS and RHEL.
• Perform server hardware maintenance, imaging, and break/fix activities on Dell servers.
• Manage virtual and physical deployments across Linux and AWS environments.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with Linux, Red Hat, or CentOS.
• 7+ years of experience with server hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Proficiency with VMware and vCenter core capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including network bonding, routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, and VLANs.
• Experience with Linux disk and storage configuration, including file system creation, expansion, and migration.
• Ability to perform hardware repairs using DRAC or ILOM.
• Competency in scripting for automation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible or Puppet for automation.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
