Description

You will validate the functionality, security, and performance of VPN protocols and WAN optimization technologies across multiple platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end testing of VPN protocols including OpenVPN, IPSec, IKEv2, and WireGuard across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
• Assess VPN performance regarding latency, throughput, and connection stability under varying network conditions.
• Validate WAN optimization technologies such as deduplication, compression, and TCP acceleration.
• Identify security vulnerabilities including data leakage and DNS leaks.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for VPN and WAN functionality, load, and performance.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in software testing focused on VPN and WAN optimization products.
• Deep knowledge of VPN protocols: IPSec, PPTP, L2TP, OpenVPN, WireGuard, Cisco VPN, and Microsoft Always On.
• Hands-on experience with WAN optimization solutions like Riverbed SteelHead, Cisco WAAS, or Silver Peak.
• Proficiency with network analysis tools including Wireshark, tcpdump, and NetFlow.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, firewalls, proxies, and NAT traversal.
• Experience using performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with automation scripting using Python or Selenium for network-based testing.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of security testing techniques, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent graduate degree.
