Description

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on vulnerability remediation using Tanium Patch, Deploy, and Comply modules.
  • Execute OS and third-party application patching across Windows and Linux systems.
  • Analyze and remediate vulnerabilities identified by Tanium and other scanning tools (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7).
  • Create, test, and deploy Tanium patching policies and maintenance windows.
  • Perform patch validation and post-deployment verification.
  • Troubleshoot failed patch deployments and endpoint communication issues.
  • Utilize Tanium for real-time endpoint visibility and remediation tracking.
  • Apply configuration changes and system hardening aligned with security benchmarks.
  • Support emergency remediation efforts for zero-day and critical vulnerabilities.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and application teams to coordinate remediation activities.
  • Document remediation actions and maintain compliance evidence for audits.
  • Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) to enhance remediation efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on vulnerability remediation or systems administration experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Tanium (Patch, Deploy, Comply, Interact, Asset).
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale patch deployments.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
  • Experience interpreting vulnerability scan results and CVSS scoring.
  • Familiarity with enterprise change management processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting endpoint agents and patch failures.
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating Tanium with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.
  • Familiarity with CIS benchmarks and security hardening standards.
  • Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
  • Security or systems certifications (Security+, Tanium Certified Operator, etc.).

  • Strong operational and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of vulnerabilities in enterprise environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices.
  • Effective collaboration across security and infrastructure teams.
