Description

You will provide technical leadership for network design and implementation projects within the secure Defence and Government sector.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-level and low-level design documentation, including summary architecture documents and configuration guides.
• Lead network design through governance reviews and ensure successful handover to service.
• Provide hands-on technical configuration, implementation support, and defect resolution.
• Manage the project lifecycle from initial requirements gathering (RCTM) to Operational Acceptance into Service (AiS).
• Assess how design decisions impact managed services, SLAs, and project risks or dependencies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network architecture and design.
• Expertise in WAN routing protocols including MPLS, BGP, and ISIS.
• Cisco CCNP or CCNP level certification.
• Juniper JNCIS-ENT certification.
• Extensive knowledge of Juniper EX switch platforms and JUNOS operating system.
• Proficiency with Juniper SRX and MX appliances.
• Working knowledge of Cisco Switch platforms and Cisco IOS.
• Deep understanding of LAN switching technologies.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network defects.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with encryption overlays such as IPSec, GRE, and hardware encryption.
