Description

You will design, develop, and maintain components for web-based educational software while transitioning legacy codebases to modern platforms.

Responsibilities

• Convert existing functionality from PHP to Python to support platform migration.
• Write clean, reusable, and security-minded code to protect personal data.
• Participate in architectural decisions and platform selection during the conversion process.
• Manage code through build and release cycles using CI/CD practices.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve software defects while monitoring application performance.

Required Skills

• 2-3 years of experience developing and maintaining web applications using Python and PHP.
• Proficiency with Python web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Practical experience with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
• Ability to deploy and support applications across multiple server environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Linux/Apache administration and front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or jQuery.
• Familiarity with API endpoint development, usability testing, and ADA accessibility standards.
