Description

You will lead the design, development, and support of front-end user interfaces and back-end features for Python applications within a biopharma environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze application requirements and design detailed project outlines and technical specifications.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain code for complex integrations and multi-tiered architectures.
• Perform quality reviews of code developed by other staff members.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables while providing application and admin expertise across server and infrastructure architectures.
• Implement user interfaces to convert experimental designs into automatable routines.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience with Python, including frameworks such as Flask and Tkinter.
• 3+ years of experience with C#, C++, MATLAB, Java, .NET, SQL, or Visual Basic.
• 3+ years of experience as a Web Application Engineer within the biopharma space.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript UI frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design, programming methodologies, and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with version control (git), Docker, and web services.
• Knowledge of database interactions (Oracle 8-9i) and the HTTP request life cycle.
• Experience working with Windows, Unix/Linux, and web infrastructure design.
• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with robotic liquid handling, programming, and wet lab pipetting techniques.
• Knowledge of SiteMinder/LDAP integration, jUnit, and Ant.
