Description

You will design, implement, and maintain WAF infrastructure and policies to protect web applications from cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy WAF solutions within AWS and Azure environments based on specific application architecture.
• Configure WAF resources including load balancers, security groups, and application gateways.
• Test configurations to ensure effective protection against common attacks without blocking legitimate traffic.
• Enable logging and monitoring to track security events and set up automated alarms or notifications.
• Support high-risk situations, such as active breaches or network attacks, including occasional weekend work for high-traffic applications.

Required Skills

• 5–7 years of experience in WAF Engineering within AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS WAF and Azure Web Application Firewall.
• Proven ability to plan WAF deployments considering scalability and traffic patterns.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and communicating cross-functionally with application owners.
• Proficiency in AWS and Azure Cloud services.
• Strong understanding of application architecture and security group management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Cloudflare or Imperva to improve protection, performance, and reliability.
